Your kitchen data stays on your phone.
No account. No cloud. No sync. Nudgey works on a plane.
There is nothing to sign up for, because there is nowhere to sign up to. Your inventory lives in a database on your device, and it stays there. The one exception is yours to choose: turn on smart scan and a receipt photo is sent to be read, then not kept.

No free tier, no locked features, no “upgrade to unlock”. Seven days free to try everything, then it’s a subscription.

Questions people actually ask
Do I have to type my whole kitchen in?
No. Photograph a receipt and Nudgey pulls the items off it for you to check. There is also a quick-add for entering a few things at once. By default the reading happens on your phone and works offline. On iPhone you can turn on smart scan, which reads receipts more accurately: the photo is sent to be read and is not kept.
Is Nudgey free?
There is a 7-day free trial with the whole app unlocked. After that Nudgey is a paid subscription — there is no permanent free tier. You won’t be charged during the trial and can cancel any time before it ends.
What happens when the trial ends and I don’t subscribe?
Nudgey becomes read-only. Your whole pantry is still there to look at and you can export all of it, but adding, editing, scanning and expiry nudges pause until you subscribe.
Does Nudgey need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no email address and no password. Your inventory is stored on your device and never sent anywhere.
Can my partner use it too?
Not as a shared list — Nudgey does not sync between phones, by design. Each phone keeps its own inventory and needs its own subscription.
What happens if I get a new phone?
Your subscription comes with you: on the new phone, open Nudgey and tap Profile → Restore purchases. Your inventory is stored on the phone rather than in an account, and you can export a copy of it to a file at any time from Profile → Export your data.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Nudgey launches on iPhone first. Android is planned, but there is no date yet.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Your inventory, expiry nudges, receipt scanning, recipes and shopping list all run on the device with no connection required. Smart scan needs a connection; offline, Nudgey reads the receipt on your phone instead.
Where do the recipes come from?
TheMealDB. Nudgey ranks them against what is in your kitchen and flags the ingredients that need using — the recipe data is theirs.
